So, nu isses raus. Ich war nicht online - für etwa 3 Wochen. Jedenfalls fast. Natürlich habe ich kurz zwischendurch e-Mails gelesen, aber ich hatte mal richtig viel um die Ohren.
First my sister came. She once convinced me - when my mind was a lil absent - to go with her to a convention and help with her stand. In fact I wasn't able to remember promising her anything like that, but had no chance to cancel.
Good so. I really enjoyed the DoKomi in Düsseldorf. There were so many Cosplayers and Manga- & Anime-Fans. And Gothic Lolitas. I never saw such until then... There were stands with mangas (without end), german mangakas and a Maid-Café. The girls really looked good, but Luis, one of the organizers of the DoKomi and from Aachen, is really cool and looked absolutely gorgeous - especially in his maid dress.
Of course my son dressed himself in his costume and some of the Con visitor squieked "kawaii!!!" which is japanese for cute and took at least one photo of him.
There was also a very cool photo corner where almost all went to to get some nice shots of themself including Kuma and me - we only couldn't have a photo together as at least one of us had to remain at the stand...
Zuerst kam meine Schwester zu Besuch. Sie hatte mich mal in einem nicht so lichten Moment meinerseits verpflichtet, mit ihr auf eine Convention mitzukommen und Stand zu machen. Natürlich konnte ich mich überhaupt nicht daran erinnern zugesagt zu haben, konnte aber trotzdem keinen Rückzieher machen.
Gut so. Denn ich habe die DoKomi in Düsseldorf wirklich genossen. Lauter Cosplayer waren dort. Und viele Manga- und Animefans. Und Gothic Lolitas. Sowas hab ich bis dahin noch nie gesehen... Da gab es Stände mit Mangas (ohne Ende), deutsche Mangakas und ein Maid-Café. Die Mädels sahen wirklich gut aus. Und Luis, einer der Organisatoren der DoKomi und Aachener, ist wirklich ein cooler Typ und total süß - besonders in seinem Maid-Dress.
Natürlich hat sich auch mein Junior, der ja auch mitkam, verkleidet und so manche ConBesucherin kreischte dann: "Kawaii!!!!" was japanisch ist und süß heißt und machte Fotos von ihm.
Es gab auch eine super geile Fotoecke in der sich so ziemlich jeder ablichten lassen hat - Kuma und ich natürlich auch, nur leider nicht zusammen, weil immer eine von uns am Stand bleiben mußte...
And I had my first Ramune ever. The bottle looks simply great and the seal is ingeniously! By the way: ramune is japanese lemonade. Taste is similar to RedBull but not as strong and it's without caffeine or such stuff. The only problem with it: the bottle can't be sealed after opening it and so u have to drink it at once.
Und ich hab meine erste Ramune getrunken. Die Flasche sieht einfach geil aus und der Verschluß ist genial! Ach ja, Ramune ist japanische Limonade. Sie schmeckt etwa wie RedBull, ist aber im Geschmack wesentlich zarter und auch ohne Aufputschmittel. Einziges Problem: die Flasche läßt sich definitiv nicht wieder verschließen und so muß man die Limo gleich austrinken.
We also tried to find at least 100 reasons for Kuma to move to Aachen or near instead of staying in Cottbus. Not that we have anything against Cottbus, but for her business the right clients are missing there and it's too far away from most conventions.
Now she is trying to find a good flat and she already found the flat next to mine which is free. She likes it and thinks it's perfect, not just because it's in direct neighbourhood to me, but it's quite light and the room partitioning ist pretty much perfect. Kuma and I am not just sisters but also best friends. We love to cook together, love cats - though I don't have my own cat actually - and we also do most things together. She also can make a great make up and I can of course learn a lot from her about sewing. On the other hand I am the one of us who knows about the woolen stuff and speaks pretty fluent english.
Außerdem haben wir etwa 100 Gründe für Kuma gesucht, weshalb sie lieber nach Aachen oder Umgebung umziehen sollte, statt in Cottbus zu versauern. Nichts gegen Cottbus, aber für ihre Geschäftstätigkeit fehlt ihr dort leider das Klientel und es ist einfach zu weit weg von den meisten Conventions.
Jetzt ist sie natürlich auf Wohnungssuche *gg* und die Wohnung neben meiner ist frei. Die findet sie natürlich besonders geeignet, nicht nur weil sie dann direkt neben mir wohnen würde., sondern auch, weil sie schön hell ist und eine ziemlich optimale Raumaufteilung hat. Kuma und ich sind schließlich nicht nur Schwestern sondern auch Freundinnen. Wir kochen und naschen gern zusammen, lieben Katzen - obwohl ich momentan keine Katze habe - und wir machen auch sonst gern alles zusammen. Sie kann z.B. super genial schminken, und natürlich kann ich von ihr in Sachen nächen noch ein paar Tricks lernen. Andersherum bin ich natürlich diejenige, die sich mit den wolligen Sachen auskennt und nebenher auch noch ziemlich fließend englisch spricht.
Of course I went shopping for the swapping to get the wished yarn and the small gifts. Thank you soo much Andrea for getting the yarn for me! Without you I would really have had a problem ^^
Natürlich habe ich auch gleich nach Bekanntgabe der Wichtelpartner mich aufgemacht, eine Wunschwolle und die Schenklis zu besorgen. Vielen Dank Andrea, daß du mir die Wolle besorgt hast! Ich wäre ohne dich wirklich aufgeschmissen gewesen ^^
In Ermangelung einer Haspel mußte ein Stuhl der Essecke herhalten.
And again I started new projects: Cleaves, Celestine and a pair of socks for my beloved sis. Kuma is happily waiting for them, Thien is happy for the StarBall, but I am unhappy with my Cleaves... I can wear it here in my home, but it's not suitable for outside! It's beautiful on the website - the design is really good, but the designer is quite weak in mathematics... otherwise she wouldn't have utopistic amount of stitches in the pattern. I think for the small versions it's working and I found that the knitty forum has a correction. But I had to get an account and it's actually too late, cause I was recalculating it half a day and knitted it with my amount of stitches. It's still not perfect - probably because the yarn is so heavy and I knitted it by feeling. Maybe I'll knit straps - but not before I finished some other projects!
Und wieder hab ich Projekte angefangen: Cleaves, Celestine, und ein paar Socken für meine Schwester. Kuma freut sich auf ihre Socken, Thien freut sich auf seinen (Morgen)Sternball und ich bin mit meinem Cleaves gar nicht zufrieden... nya, hier zu Hause kann ich's tragen, aber draußen geht das nicht! Das Teil sieht normal sehr schön aus - das Design kann sich wirklich sehen lassen, aber leider ist die Designerin ausgesprochen schwach in Mathe... denn sonst hätte sie nicht so utopische Maschenanzahlen im Muster drin. Ich glaube, daß es für die kleineren Größen passend ist und habe grad eben im Knitty Forum eine Korrektur zu den größeren Größen entdeckt. Leider mußte ich mich da anmelden und eigentlich ist es ohnehin schon zu spät, weil ich einen halben Tag daran rumgerechnet und es anschließend nach meinen Zahlen zurechtgestrickt hab. Trotzdem ist es nicht perfekt - vermutlich, weil das Garn so schwer ist und ich mehr oder weniger nach Gefühl gestrickt habe. Vielleicht mach ich das obere Teil noch mal auf und strick es enger oder ich strick ein paar Träger dran... aber erst, wenn ich ein paar andere Projekte abhaken kann!
